About Us

It Takes a Village to Raise a Child

In today's economy, raising a family can be overwhelming. From onesies that cost $20 each to toys, strollers, cribs, and countless other essentials, the costs add up quickly. That's where Verde Villages comes in. We believe in the power of community. By sharing resources and supporting one another, we can help every family in the Verde Valley thrive, regardless of income level. Our Community Closet at 901 S 12th Street in Cottonwood offers 100% free baby, kid, and maternity items to any family who needs them. No questions asked. No income requirements. Just neighbors helping neighbors.

Our Impact

Making a Real Difference

Every item shared is money saved. Every connection made is community strengthened. When you participate in Verde Villages—whether by donating, volunteering, or shopping—you're part of something bigger than yourself. You're building the kind of community where everyone looks out for one another.

No Judgment

Everyone needs help sometimes. We welcome all families without income requirements or paperwork.

02.
Sustainability

By sharing and reusing, we reduce waste and teach our children to value quality over quantity.

03.
Community First

We believe the strongest communities are built when neighbors support each other.

03.
Transparency

We're here to serve families, and we're open about how we operate and where donations go.

Changing How We Think About Community

Verde Villages isn't just about sharing things—it's about changing perspectives. When you benefit from someone else's gently used items, you develop a greater sense of responsibility toward your own possessions. You ensure they remain in good condition so they can be shared with another family when your child outgrows them. We're reducing consumerism, teaching our children the importance of sharing, and fostering mutual support within our community. Because when we work together, we all thrive.
