Storefront Assistant
- • Welcome families and help them find what they need

- • Sort incoming donations by category and size

We work closely with Volunteer Sedona to fill shifts and coordinate volunteer efforts. If you're already part of their volunteer pool, we'd love to connect with you!

Volunteer Sedona maintains a database of volunteer opportunities throughout the Verde Valley. Registering with them gives you access to opportunities at Verde Villages and many other local organizations.
Senior Volunteers
We especially welcome our older community members! Retirees find volunteering a rewarding way to:

Family Volunteering
Bring your kids (ages 8+) to help sort and organize items. This helps teach children:

We accept individuals completing hours. Contact us in advance to arrange your service.
What We Ask of Our Volunteers
18+ for independent volunteering. 16-17 with a parent or guardian present. 8-15 for family volunteer activities with adult supervision.
For positions working directly with families or having access to personal information, we conduct basic background checks. This protects both our volunteers and the families we serve.
All new volunteers attend a brief orientation (about 1 hour) covering our mission, values, policies, and procedures. Orientations are held [SCHEDULE] or by appointment.
We depend on volunteers to keep our Community Closet running smoothly. If you commit to a shift, we ask that you show up or give advance notice if you can't make it.
Treat all families and fellow volunteers with dignity and respect. Keep any personal information you encounter confidential.
We ask that volunteers support our mission of serving all families without judgment, regardless of income or background. Supplies from The Verde Villages are free regardless of income or residence.
